Remember Bill Donahue? Remember Cap'n Chris Slate? Remember Gazuga and the cleansing? Apprently I'm not that only one. It's hard not to forget what Game Players magazine was like back in its heyday. They took the idea of EGM's psycho letter of the month, expanded it, and turned it into an entire magazine. Not only did it feature some of the funniest game reviews of all time (Jeff Lundrigan's "Izzy" review is the stuff of legends), but it also had a weird over the top back story that included a three eyed monkey god and the horrors of Coconut Monkey. The Game Players tribute site delves into the best years of the magazine's life as well as following up the staff telling us where they are now. If you're nostalgic for gaming's funniest mag, check it out.
